History In the
reign of King Rama VI, 32 pavilions
located in Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University were the residence of the
queens, princesses, and royal consorts
or King Rama V or King Chulalongkorn.
Apart from the pavilions, there were
also residential buildings of courtiers
and ladies in waiting. One of the
pavilions known as “Sai Sutha
Nopadol Pavilion” was the
residence of H.H. Princess Saisavali

living living in the pavilion, she
commissioned the construction of the
“Nipakarn School” with the
aim to use it as a place to provide
general education as well as trainings
on proper manner and Thai handicrafts
for these ladies. At the present time, 6
pavilions still remain in their original
condition. In 1999, Suan
